Roxanne Jeffries

Dr. Jeffries is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of mental health experience. She is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner in three specialties, Gerontology (GNP-BC), Family Practice (FNP-BC), and Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP-BC), from the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and Case Western Reserve University, respectively. She is enrolled in the Nursing PhD program at Case Western Reserve University. Her research interests are exploring the impact of trauma exposure on Opiate use disorder.

Dr. Jeffries owns a Psychiatric Behavioral Health practice as well as a non-profit that seeks to provide supportive recovery services to individuals. She is committed to optimizing the health of urban and diverse communities by helping to eliminate health disparities. This is accomplished by aiding diverse people to recover from the disease of addiction, trauma, and mental health disorders. She also serves in academia as an adjunct faculty member at Walden University’s PMHNP program. Dr. Jeffries maintains an unrestricted license to practice nursing in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. Her overarching goals are to secure an academic faculty position in a research-intensive university as well as continue research and clinical practice with underserved populations.
