Black children in the United States are almost twice as likely to die by suicide than white children, new research from Nationwide Children’s Hospital shows. The study, published in the Journal of American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, found what researchers are calling an alarming upward trend in Black youth suicide over the past decade. Medical Schools Lack Proper Data to Address LGBTQ Health Disparities (opens new window)
Medical schools are not accurately collecting LGBTQ identity data from applicants and are consequently failing to address LGBTQ health disparities, a study from the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine found.
