Roxanne Jeffries-Baxter


Roxanne Jeffries-Baxter, MSN, RN, GNP-BC, FNP-BC, PMHNP, is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Case Western Reserve University (CRWU) Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, in Cleveland, OH. Ms. Jeffries-Baxter is interested in studying effects of psychological trauma on adults with an opiate use disorder.

Ms. Jeffries-Baxter graduated from Philadelphia public schools and went on to receive her first Masters of Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, she practices in an outpatient primary psychiatric care clinic that also treats clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental illness. Ms. Jeffries-Baxter’s Advanced Psychiatric Nursing (APN) experience includes both medical and mental health practice across many settings including, long term-care, home care, and corrections. Additionally, she has practiced in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and substance use treatment facilities. Ms. Jeffries-Baxter is committed to doing her part to optimize the health of her community and helping persons recover from the disease of addiction and trauma.
