Portia Daniels, MSN, RN, is a second year Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), School of Nursing, in San Francisco, CA. Ms. Daniels works as a staff nurse at a partial hospitalization program for youth providing short-term stabilization services, and also as a school nurse. Prior to this, she worked on a crisis unit for youth, providing stabilization services and education to youth and families.
Ms. Daniels earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University, and a Bachelor’s in Sociology with a Minor in Education from the University of California Berkeley. Upon completion of the PMHNP program, Ms. Daniels plans to continue working in mental health, caring for the most vulnerable and underserved populations, with a focus on children and adolescents.
Ms. Daniels is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA).
