The SAMHSA MFP/ANA grant will offer the lowest air fare to a MFP/ANA sponsored education offering, such as the Intensive Training Institutes. Travelers, who choose a higher air fare for non-stop or other conveniences, will be responsible for the difference in cost. However, there may be some extenuating circumstances that the Office of the MFP/ANA will consider on an individual basis.
-
The SAMHSA MFP grant only pays the expenses related to Fellow’s training; therefore, if you plan to bring your family or guest, the cost associated with their logistics is at the expense of the traveler, not the SAMHSA MFP grant.
-

The $4,000 pre-populated on each Fellows PHS2271 Statement of Training Appointment form is the estimated cost for each MFP/ANA Fellow’s additional behavioral health and career development educational offering. These monies are not to be used at the discretion of the Fellow, but are applied to offset the cost of each Fellow’s participation in the MFP/ANA Intensive Training Institute (ITI), including roundtrip air fare; lodging+ plus taxes + resort fee x 5 nights; 3 meals per day x 5 days; opening reception food; box lunches-to-go; local round trip ground transportation; and the round trip ground transportation to the host cities multiple community engagement activities. These are just a few of the costs associated with MFP/ANA Fellow’s learning experience during the MFP/ANA ITI.
