Howard University College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences and NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing are pleased to accept abstract submissions for posters and podium presentations. This year's theme is "United in Care: Partnerships with One Vision for Health."
The objectives for the 2024 Research Symposium are to:
Explore historical and emerging strategies that promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the development of nursing knowledge. Discuss the robust role nursing science and interdisciplinary partnerships have on understanding the impact of social and structural determinants on health equity. Curate innovative strategies to design and implement community-academic partnerships that promote health equity. Submit abstracts by Thursday, February 29, 2024. Participants will be notified of acceptance decision by Friday, March 15, 2024
Abstracts should be 250 word structured abstract background/purpose, methods, results, implications. They should specify how the work contributes to the current state of nursing science and the development of equitable, sustainable partnerships. Topics addressing research, education, and community programs that promote health equity are encouraged. Abstracts for research in progress may be submitted for poster presentation. Student submissions are encouraged and abstracts reporting literature reviews, systematic reviews, and/or conceptual frameworks related to the conference theme will be considered. Applicants are allowed to have multiple submissions.
