A. Udaya Thomas, MSN, RN, MPH, APRN, CYT is a PhD student at Walden University in the Nursing Interdisciplinary Health track. Her area of doctoral research is in Behavioral Health Integration into Primary Care for uninsured and underinsured community members. Ms. Thomas is also working as a Primary Care Provider at Memorial Primary Care with safety-net patients in Hollywood, Florida. She holds certificates in integrative health coaching, yoga, and as a Jhpiego Master Trainer. Ms. Thomas is a Johns Hopkins University Master’s prepared and Board-Certified Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Public Health Specialist. She works with individuals and groups, using preventative health, meditation, nutrition, and movement solutions to co-create plans with community members to improve self and family care in order to maintain optimal community health.
Ms. Thomas has been active in the Integrative Medicine for the Underserved (IM4US) since 2015 and has been co-chair of the Policy committee since 2018, until transitioning in her role as President for IM4US in January 2020.
