Dr. Roxanne Jeffries-Baxter is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner in three specialties: Gerontology (GNP-BC), Family Practice (FNP-BC), and Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP-BC). She received her education from the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and Case Western Reserve University, respectively.
Dr. Jeffries-Baxter is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Case Western Reserve University, focusing her research on exploring the impact of trauma exposure on opioid use disorders among minority populations. She is currently in her 3rd year of PhD studies and expects to complete her Ph.D. studies and graduate in June 2025.
As the founder of Branch Behavioral Health Services, Dr. Jeffries-Baxter oversees a comprehensive behavioral health practice that provides both virtual and in-person psychiatry and behavioral health services. Her practice is dedicated to optimizing the health of urban and diverse communities, with a strong commitment to reducing health disparities. She specializes in helping individuals recover from addiction, trauma, and mental health disorders, using a compassionate and evidence-based approach. Dr. Jeffries-Baxter also serves in academia as an adjunct faculty member in a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)program.
She is committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals. Dr. Jeffries-Baxter holds unrestricted licenses to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and New York.
