Napoleon DeVeyra

MSN, BSN, PHN, RN , Masters (Alumni)

Napoleon DeVeyra MSN, BSN, PHN, RN, graduated from MFP-Youth in 2016 and is among the inaugural cohort.  While in the Fellowship, he was completing his Master of Science in Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco, as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He received his Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Solano College in Northern California and then obtained his BSN from the University of Texas at Arlington with Magna Cum Laude Honors.  

Mr. Napoleon is very passionate about community-based nursing.  His research and clinical interests include integrative and lifespan approaches to primary and mental health care, racial and ethnic, and intergenerational disparities in mental health, sociocultural implications of mental health, and global health.
 
Mr. DeVeyra is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, California Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and the International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses.  He is also a recipient of the 2015 American Psychiatric Nurses Association’s Board of Directors Scholarship.
