Juan Ramon Herrera, RN, is in his first year Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. He anticipates his graduation to be August 2021. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Chamberlain University in August 2017. Upon graduation his goal was to provide mental health services to minority adolescent, young adults and older adults in underserved locations.
Mr. Herrera has a long-term nursing career at Maricopa Integrated Health System inpatient psychiatric hospital working in an inpatient adolescent, adult, and geriatric units as a float pool/charge nurse. Mr. Herrera has always had a passion for wanting to make a difference in the world.
He is member of the American Nurses Association and is a former member of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN), He is passionate about being a volunteer in activities that give him a chance to give back to the community.
