Ashley Waring, MSN, RN, CPN, is a current Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Masters student at the University of Pennsylvania graduating in August 2019.
Ashley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2004. In 2014, she returned to school with the goal of becoming an advanced practice nurse. To realize that goal she completed an accelerated BSN program at the University of South Alabama. Her nursing career has included pediatric nursing in both medical-surgical and clinic settings, as well as perioperative surgical and outpatient psychiatric mental health settings. She has worked in both civilian and military hospitals, recently serving for 2 years as a nurse at the United States Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan.
Ashley is a board-certified pediatric nurse and a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
