Theresa Moore, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC, is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Vanderbilt University with plans upon graduation to pursue a PhD in Nursing. Mrs. Moore’s phenomenon of interest is identifying barriers in access to care for people of color in need of mental health and/or substance use disorder (SUD) services. Currently, she provides behavioral health and SUD services for the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada.
As a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. Moore provides person centered care to patients with a variety of mental illnesses, utilizing community resources and various support networks to strengthen their functioning and reduce the occurrence of hospitalization.
Mrs. Moore is an active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the California State Nurses Association, and the Nevada State Nurses Association. Mrs. Moore is also a dedicated military spouse and mother of an active ten-year-old son.
