Aisha Ellis

Aisha Ellis, MSN, RN, ANP-BC, is currently a fourth year PhD candidate at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing studying the structural and social factors that impact opportunities for equitable access to healthcare services for adults living with mental illness. 

She is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, with over ten years of experience providing primary care for adults living with serious mental illness. Her previous experience includes outpatient care using an integrated primary and behavioral health care model within a federally qualified community health center and partnered behavioral health clinics, as well as inpatient care in both state-operated and privately funded psychiatric facilities.

Mrs. Ellis is committed to advancing nursing science to promote health equity among historically medically underserved and socially disenfranchised populations.
