He started his career as a community health care worker in Tanzania before moving to the United States in 2005 to study for his graduate degree in Theology. Years of service as a catholic priest, a hospital chaplain and Tyson Foods Factory chaplain in rural Midwest helped him to identify a need for minority mental health professionals which influenced his change in career path to psychiatric mental health.
